CONTEST
Worlds of the Crystal Moon Theme Music
Win $2500
One Winning Song will be Chosen
It Could be Yours!
We are looking for musicians with the skills to create the theme song for the Worlds of the Crystal Moon series. This song will be submitted with any scripts for film projects. The winning musicians may be invited to perform at any function where the theme song will be used.
Rules:
-
All entries must be based on the Worlds of the Crystal Moon novels. Therefore, all applicants must know the stories, using them for inspiration.
-
Song lyrics must fit the Worlds of the Crystal Moon series' topics.
-
Songs with lyrics are preferred.
-
Instrumentals may be considered, provided the music is powerful enough to reflect the novels' intricacies.
-
Genre of song open to artist's interpretation.
-
Songs must be submitted in MP3 format.
-
Artists will retain credit for songs submitted. However, once songs are submitted, the Worlds of the Crystal Moon may use the song in other areas and will negotiate proper payment for any song they wish to keep... even if this song is not used as the theme song or on the soundtrack.
-
Eleven additional songs will also be chosen for the Worlds of the Crystal Moon soundtrack and presented along with the theme song when scripts for films are negotiated with studios.
-
Artistic acknowledgement will be given for all selected songs.
-
Decisions made by the Worlds of the Crystal Moon judges are final.
-
Submission of songs indicates agreement with above terms.
Lately, I have received a number of emails regarding the music contest to create the Worlds of the Crystal Moon theme song. Below I have addressed a few questions which have come up on more than one occasion.
* A song without lyrics has just as much chance of winning as a song with lyrics.
* The new deadline for submissions is now... January 1, 2010.
* The genre of the song can be any genre as long as the feeling and emotions of the first two novels within the storyline are captured and expressed. I want a rollercoaster of mood swings.
* The song must be at least 4 minutes in length, but no longer than 6.
